desert selenite (or desert rose) is a variety of selenite with a coating of sand (or contains sand throughout its structure) and often grows into rosettes due to its dry and sandy conditions. like all forms of selenite, desert rose enhances our insights, with particular use for shining light on how we can find joy or relief in a difficult situation. it can show us what positive changes need to be made and is said to ease headaches caused by eyestrain.
