Frequently asked questions.
Where are you located?
The Rooted Realm currently rents office space through Haven Collective in downtown Columbus, Ohio. We affectionately call our office Rooted HQ. We are available for private shopping and meetings by appointment only. Reach out to us here:
For public events at Rooted HQ, what’s the parking sitch?
There is a free parking lot behind our building (located off of Jefferson Ave). All participants are welcome to park in this lot for all Rooted HQ events.
Can I host my own Rooted Workshop?
Absolutely! While we offer public workshops throughout the year, there may be a special event you want to add a Rooted-touch to such as a birthday party, bachelorette, or more. Check out our Host a Rooted Workshop page to learn more.
How does payment work for the workshops?
At public events hosted at Rooted HQ, we will accept payment during the event via money management apps like Venmo or Zelle. For product, please purchase directly through our site. For private workshops, a deposit is required to secure your date and the final payment is due the week of your event. Click here for more information on hosting a private workshop. Please reach out if you have questions or concerns about pricing.
What if I have allergies or other restrictions?
If you have a food allergy that you’d like us to know about in terms of the refreshments we’ll have out at public workshops, please message us. We do use ingredients in our jars that some could be allergic to, but we will have spoons or other items like that for you to use the ingredient (if you want) without having to touch it.
Where do you source your ingredients and crystals?
There is no doubt that the crystal and herb (and I don’t just mean cannabis, though that too) industries are wrought with unethical harvesting, mining, and gathering practices. Thanks to the boom of interest in the metaphysical, everyone is working to get these ingredients faster and for more money. The Rooted Realm does not claim to know everything about this centuries-long debate about taking from our earth, but what we do claim is to try our damn hardest to source crystals and ingredients from reputable places. We currently use Faire—fancier, metaphysical-focused Etsy for small businesses—to purchase our bulk items like dried herbs and tumbled stones and, when possible, source from our local shops directly, depending on their inventory. This debate started before us and will continue after us (and there really isn’t a great answer) but if you want to grapple along with us, as always, reach out to us on Instagram.
